Draft v0.1 · finalising before launch

Designer Terms

The short version: your art stays yours, we produce it and sell it, and you get paid on every sale. Here's the plain-language detail.

1You keep your work

You own the copyright to the design you submit. Submitting it to T'DAA does not transfer ownership. It stays yours.

2What you grant us

By submitting, you give T'DAA a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to review your design and — if it's approved — to reproduce it on products, show it in marketing, and sell it, for as long as it's live on T'DAA and GoDirect. Non-exclusive means you're free to use your own design elsewhere too.

3It has to be yours

You confirm the design is your original work, that you have the right to submit it, and that it doesn't copy or infringe anyone else's work — no copyrighted characters, brand logos, trademarks, or other people's art. If a claim arises from work that wasn't yours to give, that's on you, not us.

4How you get paid

If your design is approved and goes live, you earn $1 (CAD) for every unit sold, for as long as it's on sale. We total your earnings and pay out once you pass a small minimum (we're setting this at $50), by a method we'll agree with you. No sales, no fee — and no cost to you, ever.

5Review isn't guaranteed

We review every submission and reply either way, usually with comments. We may approve, ask for changes, or pass — approval isn't guaranteed, and picking a design is our call.

6We can pause a design

T'DAA may stop producing or selling a design at any time (for example, low demand or a rights concern). Your royalty accrues only while a design is live and selling.

7This isn't a job

Submitting to T'DAA doesn't make you an employee or contractor. There's no salary and no obligation on either side — it's a simple, per-sale royalty arrangement.

8Keep it clean

No hateful, illegal, deceptive, or infringing content. We can decline anything that doesn't fit, at our discretion.

9Your details

We collect the details and files you send so we can review your work and keep you updated. We use your email to talk to you about your submission, and we handle your information responsibly. We won't sell your personal information.

10The legal bits

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. We may update them from time to time; the current version always lives on this page.

Note: this is a plain-language summary written to be readable, not a substitute for the full, final terms — which we'll publish before designer submissions open. By submitting, you agree to the terms in force at that time.
